The Opti-Med study investigates the (cost) effectiveness and implementation of a structured medication review in elderly patients. The trial is performed in 25 general practices in Amsterdam, the Netherlands and includes 500 patients.

As a researcher and developer, I transformed the trial requirements into software features and adjusted the STRIP Assistant accordingly.

  • STRIPA The STRIP Assistant is a web application that I developed during my PhD research. It is a decision-support system that aids physicians with conducting medication reviews. Originally, it was developed for use in Dutch primary care, but in the OPERAM project it has been extended to support multiple sources of decision rules, and several multiple languages.
